John Travolta is one of those rare celebrities who owns a plane and flies it himself. He has a private pilot's license and often flies himself and his family to various destinations in one of his four amazing aircraft.
One of these is a Boeing 707. The craft in question was part of the Qantas fleet of 707s that the company discontinued in 1968. It went through a handful of owners, and eventually, Travolta snapped in up in May 1998. He has since donated it to a Historical Aircraft Restoration Society in 2017. He will feature in an upcoming documentary called American Badass: A Michael Madsen Retrospective.
J. K. Rowling – Amphitrite Yacht, $28 Million
Considering that at one point, J. K. Rowling was living on welfare benefits in the UK, she is now one of the richest and most successful authors in the world. In fact, she was listed as the first billionaire author by Forbes, although they later claimed she lost that status by donating a chunk of money to charity.
But she still had enough left to buy this yacht. It was reportedly owned by Johnny Depp previously and boasts five cabins that sleep up to ten people. Look out for her upcoming Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them franchise.
Elon Musk – Gulfstream G650ER, $70 Million
By now, it’s become clear that Elon Musk enjoys technology. He’s one of the world’s richest people, being the CEO of Tesla and the CEO and founder of SpaceX. When it comes to his travels, though, he prefers a Gulfstream. In fact, according to Insider, he owns two, a Gulfstream G650ER and a smaller G550.
The G650ER was built in 2015 and delivered to him a year later. He frequently uses it to travel between California and Texas; after all, it cost him reportedly around $70 million to buy! At the moment, Forbes estimates his fortune around $153.2 billion. In 2021 he even hosted Saturday Night Live!
Bill Gates – Serene, $2 Million Per Week
He may never be the richest man in the world again, but Bill Gates is still fully loaded and can afford to rent a 440-foot superyacht called Serene for $2 million a week. This is a massive hotel on water that requires 52 crew members to run it smoothly.
It has 15 cabins that can host 24 guests and includes an indoor swimming pool, Jacuzzis, a gym, and a cinema. It also has two helipads and a submarine garage. Although he always rents yachts, he recently announced that he forked out $644 million on a new hydrogen-powered superyacht.
Tyler Perry – Gulfstream III, $125 Million
So why does Tyler Perry's Gulfstream III cost so much? Especially since they sell for anything between $1 million and $1.2 million. But this isn't a regular Gulfstream III. This is a Gulfstream III modified to be a flying theater.
He has a personalized theater on board his jet that includes a 42-inch HD LCD screen and a good few blue ray players. Besides the theater aspect, it also has a VIP room, dining room, and a modern kitchen. Perry has a few projects on the boil at the moment, including Those Who Wish Me Dead, Don't Look Up, and a Paw Patrol: The Movie.
Roberto Cavalli – Baglietto Yacht, $40 Million
As a fashion designer Robert Cavalli is all about style, luxury, and a little eccentricity. This shows through in his 137-foot Baglietto Yacht he named after himself. He paid $40 million on the yacht and has used it to rub shoulders with the who's who of Hollywood celebrities, including John Travolta and Sharon Stone, among others.
The paint job changes color from gold to purple, and if the outside is anything to go by, then the inside is equally as extravagant. This is decked out in leopard print and snakeskin with mink rugs. It hosts up to eight people and requires just four crew members to keep it operational.
Michael Schumacher – Dassault Falcon 2000, $22 Million
Michael Schumacher is a Formula one legend who is renowned for being the fastest man on the track. His seven championships are a testament to that, and so are all the plaudits that come his way, even in his current unwell state.
It's almost fitting then that his jet, a Dassault Falcon 2000LX, be just as fast. The jet, introduced by the company in 1982, can reach altitudes of up to 42K-feet and reaches a cruise speed of 529 miles per hour. Schumacher has been silent while recovering from his head injury. But it was recently announced that his family would share rare footage of him for an upcoming documentary called Schumacher.
Eric Clapton – Va Bene, $12 Million
Guitar legend Eric Clapton may have left his jet-setting days behind after losing his son, Connor, in 1991. But that doesn't mean he doesn't still like a little luxury. This is why he owns the luxury superyacht known as Va Bene.
It's rumored that Clapton initially used to just charter the 156-foot luxury boat. But in 2005, he bought it for $12 million. It can host up to 12 people and boast one master suite, four duplex suites, and one double bedroom. It also has a hot tub on the deck and numerous water sports activities, including jet skis, kayaks, wakeboards, and waterskis.

Bono may come across as a bit of a stone-faced guy due to how seriously he takes his activism and philanthropy. But deep down, he is still a rock star and still likes to live like one... a little. This is why he's pretty secretive about his yacht, named Kingdom Come.
The 198-foot boat was built in 1979 and has been through a few owners and name changes (it was once called Nara and Diana II). It has a huge deck space, a stylish lounge setting, and a luxurious main bedroom with a sophisticated interior. Bono is set to feature in the film Sing 2 as a character named Clay Calloway.
DJ Khaled – Gulfstream G2, $38K Per Round Trip
When DJ Khaled was featured in the film Pitch Perfect, he was portrayed as a man of luxury who never went anywhere without his personal juicer (a person who makes his juice), his high-end portable studio, and a portable beehive for fresh honey.
That may be a little exaggerated, but that doesn't mean he isn't into luxury. While he doesn't own this private jet, he uses it a lot, especially for his one-year-old son, Ashad, to meet him on tour. According to reports, it costs him $38K per round trip, which is amazing considering the amount of Instagram posts shared.
Neymar – Cessna 680, $9.1 Million
When you're worth $263 million in cost, not net worth, then you probably deserve to own your own luxury private jet at least. For Brazilian soccer player Neymar, that is the truth. His five-year contract with French club PSG is reportedly worth $350 million, meaning the $9.1 million he paid for this Cessna 680 private plane isn't even a ripple in the ocean.
The jet can hold up to 12 people and cruises at a speed of 553 miles per hour. It's about more than luxury since Neymar has a hectic travel schedule that includes regular monthly travel between Europe and South America.
Tom Cruise – Gulfstream IV, $35 Million
Tom Cruise's rise to superstardom included a role in the film Top Gun, where his character was a fighter pilot who flew some of the most elite warplanes in the world. This role may or may not be why Cruise has a Gulfstream IV jet, but the fact that he owns one is still pretty cool.
In fact, Cruise can fly his own plane and any commercial plane, and even a helicopter. His jet can hold up to 19 people and also contains a Jacuzzi and a movie screening room. Cruise is set to reprise his role as Maverick in an upcoming sequel called Top Gun: Maverick.

As if he is living up to the nickname of his Airness, Michael Jordan has a Gulfstream IV jet. It used to be painted in the blue of his college, the University of North Carolina, and also has his famous Jumpman logo at the back of the jet.
But it was recently revealed with a new paint job, going for an elephant print design similar to those on his Jordan line of basketball shoes. It still has a Jumpman on it, though, and it appears that nothing about the interior has changed either. His net worth currently sits at $2.2 billion.
Peter Jackson – Gulfstream G550, $68 Million
Peter Jackson's a pretty busy guy. Between an upcoming documentary called The Beatles: Get Back in post-production and two announced films in the Tintin Franchise, he is pretty swamped. So he needs to get around swiftly and easily. But that's not the only reason he owns planes.
He is an aviation enthusiast who owns over 40 airworthy World War I-era warbirds. But he uses his Gulfstream G550 specifically for travel between his home in Masterton, New Zealand, and wherever work takes him. It can hold up to 19 travelers and even has a studio he can work in while he flies.

He may not be his Airness, but Magic Johnson is still a pretty big deal in the basketball world. He is also a pretty busy man with multiple business interests, including running his own promotional company called Magic Johnson Enterprises. It's no wonder the guy needs a jet to get around in!

Famous for popularizing the wrap dress, Diane von Fürstenberg has built a fashion empire that has given her a value of $1.2 billion. Between her and her media mogul husband Barry Diller, they have a combined net worth of $7 billion, so you can understand why they would splash $100 million on a luxury yacht.
Boy, is it a thing of luxury! Named the Eos, it is widely regarded as one of the largest private yachts on the ocean at 305-feet. It accommodates 16 guests and requires 21 crew members to operate and has designer touches on both the interior (Francois Catroux) and exterior (Bill Langanand) design.

It’s the extended version of the G650, meaning it has a bigger maximum take-off weight of 4,000 pounds while accommodating up to eight guests, not including the crew. Forbes’ latest estimated regarding Bezos’s total fortune is at around $18.5 billion. He’s currently anticipated to step down as Amazon’s CEO within 2021.

He doesn’t just own a private jet, more like an entire company of them, with a fleet of 750 jets! Of course, Warren Buffett is one of the world’s richest people, being the CEO and chairman of Berkshire Hathaway Inc. His company subsidiary owns brands like Dairy Queen, Fruit of the Loom, and of course, NetJets.
Buffett is 90 years old now, and it doesn’t look like he plans to retire any time soon. He’s been married twice, firstly to Susan Thompson, who passed away in 2004, and currently to Astrid Menks since 2006. Meanwhile, NetJets has even expanded in Europe, moving over 100 jets.
Steve Jobs – Feadship Venus, $126 Million
As the co-founder of Apple Inc, Steve Jobs was able to earn a fortune of $10.2 billion by the time he died in 2011. Sadly, however, he didn’t get to enjoy the private superyacht he had ordered from Philippe Starck’s company, Ubik. Venus was finally unveiled a year after his death, in 2012.

Not one to be outdone by his bandmate Bono, Guitarist The Edge also got into the yachting game. He purchased a luxury, 159-foot superyacht called Cyan, but by Italian boatbuilder Codecasa in 1997. Despite her age, she is still in pretty good condition.
Some of the specs include a cinema under the sky, a Jacuzzi, gym, and for The Edge, the main suite that comes with an office. Sergio Garcia is arguably one of Europe's most gifted golfers. With 36 international tournament wins and $43 million in career winning over and above his endorsement deals, you can understand why he's so well respected. With the travel demands that professional golf presents, one of the best things Garcia did was purchase a Hawker 850 jet.
This allows him to get from tournament to tournament on his own steam with less admin while also allowing him to bring eight people on the flight. He also had it re-designed to have a spacious bedroom for him to get some much-needed sleep en route to a tournament.

Almost everything he has created has become a hit. From Family Guy to American Dad and even the film Ted. His shows and films are comedy gold and have also made him a sizeable net worth of $300 million. So it's safe to say he can afford to get around the world in private jet comfort.

Retired NBA star Tracy McGrady calls purchasing his Falcon 2000 jet one of his smartest decisions ever. The player who spent 16 years at various franchises made a name for himself as a small forward and shooting guard became the first NBA player to own a jet when he bought it in 2005.

On one occasion, she did charter a private Boeing 747 owned by the Las Vegas Sands Corporation CEO, Sheldon Adelson. Hilton recently announced her engagement to venture capitalist Carter Reum.

Justin Bieber is known for a lot of things: singer, songwriter, instrumentalist. But one thing he is not is a family man, at least not yet anyway. But reports are surfacing that he and his wife Hailey plan to have a baby, with 2021 being the goal year.

Morgan Freeman is so cool he played Alex Cross, Nelson Mandela, and God. He is also a senior citizen rocking an earring and is a private pilot who owns three planes. That's right, like John Travolta, one plane simply wasn't enough.
He may have been inspired by his work on the film The Bucket List because he only got his pilot's license at the age of 65. But he fell in love with it because he now owns a Cessna Citation 501, a Cessna 414 twin-engine, and a long-range SyberJet SJ30. He is set to star in the upcoming film The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard.
Alex Rodriguez – Gulfstream IV, $3.6 Million
Retired baseball legend Alex Rodriguez likes to get around in style. Even though he isn't playing and doesn't need to travel to away games, he still likes to put his Gulfstream IV jet to good use with some serious international travel.
There is no clear record of when he bought the plane. With some reports going as far back as 2007 while others as recent as 2019. But there is a report about it needing to make an emergency landing in 2018, which means he probably got it on the earlier instance while he was still playing for the New York Yankees.
